Yeah, we got our wedding bands finally! Actually, we only started shopping for it on Friday. But before that, I did browse a few websites and entered a few shops to get some ideas.
These are a few that I liked and I noticed they are similar, haha... The blings blings I mean if you know what I mean.
The prices are not cheap especially for the lady's version, each costing from about almost 1K to 2K. Our budget is extremely tight already considering we still have renovation, furniture etc to take care of.
Hubby searched on forums and found this shop called Clarity. I went to the website and was turned off initially because the first 5pages on the website featured rings that were within our budget but nothing I fancied. Those that I fancy similar to above designs were really ex.
But still, we decided to make an appointment as the forum reviews were quite good. I am glad we went! We viewed 50+ trays of wedding rings loh. Mind you, 50+ trays leh and not 50+ pairs... On average, each tray had 9-12pairs... Faintz.
How they worked was to show us all the rings, then whichever we liked, to shortlist it first. Then they will leave us alone to discuss and try the rings before coming back to us again. I liked that there were a lot of varieties and I could find similar to the above designs at a lower price. The best thing is about giving us private time alone. =)
Btw, according to the forum, if we mentioned that we came here cos we know them from the forum (Singapore Brides in this case), we can get a discount. True enough, when Amanda (the lady boss) asked if we were recommended by people or forum and I told her, she mentioned a discount of 25%! We shortlisted a few that looked like the above photos and another which I had not seen previously. The price range was 1.2K to 1.6+K after the discount.
In the end, I decided not to get those above designs cos I think it looks more like a ring I would buy for myself out of vanity instead of a wedding band. I guess I can always buy it another time to pamper myself bah. =)
So we chose this design instead!

But instead of of Rose Gold, we will be choosing white gold instead. So the outer ring will be in glossy white gold and the middle section will be matt white gold. There's something interesting about this ring too! The middle part can be turned! Hubby loves playing with my ring by turning it round and round, so in future he can turn his own ring too, haha.
So its good for us both, I get my blings blings, he gets his plain ring and play with it.
Can't wait to collect our rings but first, we need to let Amanda know what to engrave on our rings. Gonna search for ideas now!
