Yup yup, we have been pak tor-ing for 78mths as of now which is like 2,300+ days. Another 6mths to the 7th yr itch, lol. But I'm sure we'll survive that. =)
Hubby picked me up in the afternoon and we took a cab to Market Street first to pass Ken Meng his pressie and Ken Lun's pressie. After that, we went to walk around at Raffles Place. There was a sale at G2000 and I managed to get a black cardigan at only $26.10! Original price was at $69, hehe, good deal huh?
Decided to sit down and get drinks since our reservation was at 6.30pm only. Headed to Coffee & Toast at Raffles Place MRT, Hubby ordered ice teh, ice kopi with otah buns & eggs combi. The otah buns were nice with the right tinge of spiciness and the eggs were light and heavenly.
My Prince Charming of the day~ And of cos his princess~ =p
Don't we look so happy together?
We took a walk after teh & kopi session to Marina Square. Passed by Marina Bay and saw many wish spheres with dedications written on it. Quite an interesting and nice view with the Singapore Flyer in the background and colourful seats.
We reached Ritz Carlton around 6.20+pm and went to the washrooms first. Look at how nice it is loh! Bottles for handwash, tissues & towels to dry your hands with and the small floral vase, looks like a hotel room's bathroom. Really feel like a princess, hehe.
We entered Greenhouse exactly at 6.30pm and were lead to a corner seat with comfy sofa seats with romantic (low) lighting. Started on the light, small stuffs first like eel salad, seared tuna, crab tart, chawanmushi, foiegras, tofu etc.
The waitress asked if we wanted drunken prawns and of cos we wanted! The soup was light and did not the strong alcohol taste. The prawns were plump, juicy and fresh! Yum yum.
Drunken Prawns
Next round was the cold seafood! Cold prawns, mussels, scallops and... oysters! Totally fresh and yummy~
These oysters were so good!
The view from our seat outside the window.
Sashimi which was so-so only, disappointing.
The crayfish meat was thick and chewy, but I didn't fancy the sauce.
Did not like a single piece of the below, left and "siapsiap" aftertaste on my tongue for quite a while, eeeeeee....
The mussels were ok, but this round of oysters sucks. Have the fishy taste...
Hubby's pistachio ice cream and my lychee sorbet!
Enjoying my lychee sorbet~ The vanilla bean ice-cream was creamy and nice but the crepe was very thick and the colour is so weird. Grey colour? So yucky.
Vanilla bean ice-cream with crepe.
Noticed that there were no pics of other cooked food? Nothing caught our fancy at all and were not nice. Damn disappointing loh for this price (Hubby paid $170+ for 2 of us).
We took a walk around the hotel since we were there and took some pics.
At the stairway
Us again
The X'mas tree~
Went to Marina Square to walk around for a while before heading home. Feel so happy and blissful with him, hehe.

X'mas Lunch
Me & Hubby decided to try out the waffle buffet at The Singpost Centre after watching "Buffet Buffet" on Channel 8. It was cheap at $8.80 per pax.
However, when we reached there, there was a notice that said that there was an additional charge of SGD2.00 for X'mas Eve & X'mas day. Fine then, its just SGD10.80 afterall.
We ordered our 1st round of waffles - 2 durians, apple cinnamon and white choco oreo bites. We decided to add $3 to get a main course also, I ordered crab claw & mix spaghetti and Hubby ordered meatballs spaghetti. The buffet also consisted a item from a list of few types of float and waffle items, I chose the mango float and he orderd the coffee float.
The place was rather small and packed. Our 1st order was served quite fast, to be honest, the durian tasted ok, the aaple cinammon tasted like apple pit and the white choco oreo was normal.
Our main courses was served in a while. Hubby's meatball tasted like those frozen ones bought from supermarket and my crab claw was as "big" as my thumb... =_=
We placed our 2nd round of waffles and after waiting for ages till we finished our mains, nothing was served. Instead 2 other tables which arrived later than us were already served their 2nd & 3rd rounds of waffles. Upon checking with them, they had lost our orders, duhz. We were kindda pissed and full after the waiting. We had to replace our orders which were simply honey, peanut butter, white choco pistachio and hazlnut chocolate. The waffles were too thick and big while the fillings were miserable.
We struggled to finish the waffles and decided to leave after that. Though its not ex, but the service and food was disappointing and I don't think we will return anytime soon.
After lunch, we went to Meilin's place to pass her the x'mas pressie and went back to hubby's place. Bumped into Ling at the bus-stop outside Hubby's place and took the bus together. Ling was going to her mum's place which was just 1 bus stop before Hubby's place. Asked her if she wanted to join us for dinner at Kim's Hokkien Mee and she said to let us know.
I was kindda tired thus drift in and out of sleep at Hubby's sleep till 10pm. Called up Ling to confirm dinner and her hubby came to pick us up. We had hokkien mee and sambal kangkong for dinner which was really filling as the mee portion was really big. Somehow the auntie there today was fierce and rude loh, duhz. What's up with the service levels nowadays?!?
Ling and her hubby sent us back and we have made plans to attack Geylang's steamboat this Sunday (to be confirmed)!

Merry X'mas to friends, fellow bloggers and whoever is reading this! ^_^
Its the season to share & give (plus feast & spend, lol)~ This year's Christmas at office seems to be more quiet probably due to a lot of ex-colleagues have left. Bought less gifts this year but more significant/interesting ones. Received some surprises this year as well.
Thanks babes for the pressies and hope you gals will like my pressies. You know you're loved by me when you receive a pressie from me, hehe.

梁靜茹-我是幸福的
Came across this video on Youtube and its a really sweet song. Love some parts of the lyrics which I have highlighted in pink. I really feel the same as the song's title - 我是幸福的. ^_^
We had an early x'mas dinner buffet at our company's carpark as most people will be on leave next week. Buffet started at 5pm with some short speech from HOD(s) and collecting of the "door gift". The door gift was actually a pretty box with Ferrero Rocher chocolates inside. I don't mind cos I absolutely love the chocolates!
After everyone had collected their gifts, the buffet started and sad to say, the portions weren't a lot and there wasn't enough to go for 2nd round loh. There were fried rice, veggies, chicken masala, deep fried prawns, lemon fish, samosa and seafood dumplings. I didn't fancy the lemon fish but the other dishes were not too bad. We had sago honeydew as dessert which was quite cooling and nice. There were also chocolate logcakes! Sinfully good with thick chocolate~
At 6pm, the lucky draw started. Guess what? Me & Gracie both got $20 NTUC vouchers each! Lol... Better than nothing lah. I always dun genna anything whenever there are lucky draws like this, maybe Luck decided to sayang me that day, haha.
Back to slogging after the dinner, loads of emails, figures etc to face and slogged my guts out till 9pm. Here's the pics of what I got, hehe...

Pre-celebration of Meilin's B-day - 15th Dec'08
Took leave on Monday to accompany Meilin to do her X'mas shopping, movie and dinner.
We met up ard 2+pm and headed to Wisma for shopping, followed by Taka. I didn't manage to buy anything cos I really had nothing in mind what to buy. After shopping for a while, we headed to The Cathay to watch "The Day The Earth Stood Still". Hubby met us directly and went to collect the tix first. We had booked a couple seat and a single seat, me and Meilin shared the couple seat comfortably and Hubby took the single seat, hehe.
The movie was ok and luckily didn't have a lot of gross/bloody scenes cos the ad on the website said there were disturbing scenes which I'm kindda scared of.
After the movie, we went back to Taka for some more shopping. Meilin went Tiffany to look for some items and we browsed from 1st floor to 2nd floor. At the 2nd floor, while Meilin was trying on her necklaces, I saw something! In the display cabinet was a beautiful solitaire ring which was under the category below $3,000. I asked the sales lady how much was it purely out of curiosity and because it was so pretty, the answer was $2,950... Duhz, really less than $3K loh, short of $50 only. I showed Meilin the ring and she found it nice also and asked me to try the ring on. And guess what? It was my ring size and fitted my finger perfectly! OMG~
I was like freaking tempted for like 15mins to buy it, calculating the installment plan would come up to $245 a mth. But, ultimately I did not buy it lah. Its really too ex and almost $3K can buy us a lot of things for our future home. Getting flat is more important and priority now! Anyway, the ring looks something like this. Of cos the diamond is not as big, it was 0.23 carat. But the 6 claws setting made it look quite big and pretty.
After Tiffany, we went Swensons for dinner. I had a salmon & mushroom baked rice which wasn't really nice. Hubby ordered ribeye steak to be medium rare which took ages to serve and turned out very cooked. We sent back the order and they served the correct one. Service was really slow and sucky that day, puiz...
On a happier note, I got my advance X'mas pressies from Meilin, thanks babe! Have yet to open it up cos Hubby says can only open on X'mas. She also got me this cute scrunchie from Taiwan! It has a Mickey Mouse head and its in my fav colour - purple!!! Keke, so ke ai~
Thanks so much gal! You really always buy me little pressies when you go on holidays/biz trips, so thoughful and sweet of you. *muacks*
Enjoy your holiday ya and your pressie is still with me~
