Bought a copy of Her World Brides on the way to work yesterday. No, not getting married yet, don't get the wrong idea. Just fascinated by the gowns and felt like showing to Hubby. Seen a couple of beautiful/dream gowns in the mag, hope someday I can fit into it, haha...

Cammie's wedding is in a couple of months and to be honest, I kindda feel excited for her. Lol... Weird right? I suppose its cos she and James make such a nice & sweet couple and I've been following her blog and she is so blissful. *envy envy envy* Hope the preparations and everything runs smoothly!

Met him as usual after work and took train to City Hall. Miss him a lot since his reservist started, moreover I was sick like since last Sunday. Noone by my side to take care of me, so sad and poor thing.

Anyway, just to digress a little... =p I was chatting with Cammie about wedding themes and mentioned I want a purple & black theme cos they're my fav colours, haha! Sounds kindda gothic though I'm not really into that. Then... The GM happen to walk by, sibeh stylo loh. He was wearing purple jeans with small star-like prints on it. Wah lau, so zun and purple leh! I never seen anyone I know wore purple jeans before. This GM of ours might be in his late 30s but his dressing is very stylish and he' doesn't look his age. If my future partner also like that, I think I can drool whole day, lol. Ok, too much sidetracking, I actually just wanted to say when I met up with Hubby, he was wearing the purple t-shirt with black stripes we bought at Giordano previously! Hehe, I like loh... So man~ =p

We headed to Marina Square first to buy tickets for Wall-E. Had to buy from the kiosk directly as I have buy 1 get 1 free ticket b-day treat (GV member privilege). I know, you're thinking: "Wah lau, this gal got how many memberships exactly?" Haha... Went for our lunch at the foodcourt and had yummy 车仔面. We chose the maggie mee and it was really yummy, must try!

Walked over to Suntec for the Comex Show and it was really packed loh. Machiam sardines packed in a tin like that. I actually just blindly follow Hubby cos no sense of directions at all. =x We checked out a couple of photo printers, Hubby asked the sales people questions which I will probably not ask/won't know have to ask. Chiminology and very technical stuff. Settled on the Canon Selphy printer and Hubby called Cammie to confirm which model she wanted. Hubby kept telling Cammie one of the models is very cute, keep tempting her, so bad.
Then he very funny loh, ask the sales person if he pay cash got more discounts or not? I'm starting to think if he's a ATM, always carrying wedges of cash around, scary. Bought the printer, made payment, collected the printer and photo papers, went to 1st level to collect the free gifts than headed to MS for the movie.

In between, there was a very cute/funny sms "war" between Hubby and Cammie. Hubby likes to call all my friends kuku and short (=_=|||), so it was something about that. He sometimes ask me why your friends all so short one huh? Kaoz... Next time I get Linda to stand beside him than he know who is short.

Wall-E was cute and funny. Kindda romantic in a robotic way, hehe. Enjoyed the show a lot and since I have a ticket free, $10 was quite worth the show. =)

Headed to HMV at Citilink, bought a CD and VCD. The CD was some Club anthems remixes and VCD was Aska Yang's concert. Hubby paid for me though, hehe. I been kindda living off him for the past month cos was really broke.

Walked pass New York New York and decided to have dinner there. We ordered a Meat Platter for 2 (sinful!!!!), Hubby had ice coffee and I had Lover's Sunset (orange juice with cranberry). But it actually taste more of orange juice than anything else.

We were enjoying our dinner and commenting the food is etc when something happened and Hubby was very pissed off. One of the staff was clearing the table next to us and... he accidentally drop a used fork and it landed right smack in the middle of our plate! The fork was in contact with our food so we couldn't eat it anymore cos it was unhygienic. The guy picked up the fork, said sorry and just walked off. Luckily we were almost finishing but Hubby was angry that we were offered no explanation or apologies from the superior. So he asked to speak to the supervisor/manager and told him what happened. Basically we were not asking for any discounts or free things but Hubby felt the staff shouldn't have walked off just like that.

Anyway, when we asked for the bill, they waived the drinks for us and dinner kindda ended in a unhappy mood. Sigh, 1st time there and I have always been wanting to eat there. Think Hubby will never wanna step in there anymore. =(

On a ending note, I managed to find some pics of us when we just started dating, haha. Hubby was slim de loh, promised Gracie to show her tomorrow. Here's one for preview!

    Sick...

I'm down with throat infection and flu... I can feel there's the taste of blood when I cough and my nose is like a leaking pipe... Sigh... I hate being sick especially having flu...

I should go see a doc and take MC, sleep my day at home but workaholic me keeps remembering: This shipment haven't do, that draft B/L haven't do etc... Suay suay, this week loads of seafreight shipments and all are not smooth sailing shipments, what a irony.

Boss asked me to go see doc today, but was so tired after work, I decided to head home, have porridge and take Panadol again and have a nap.

Dunno how long this will go on, probably pop into office tomorrow, do whatever I can, go see doc in the afternoon/after work and go home rest for the next day. ARGHZ... Still have offlanding tomorrow and this Sat. Sob sob, why so unlucky? =(

    Emotional Roller Coaster Ride

The past week have been full of ups and downs. Many things have happened at home and remain unsolved till now. It has hit me so hard that I now fear returning to this house everyday, worrying about my future and if it will affect/delay me & bf's plans.

I will not wanna mention about the sad/terrible stuff here as close colleagues/frens would have already known. Thanks for the concern and listening ear. I know I am not as strong as I seem but you people have made it better. I won't deny I was crying for days after my b-day but am much better now. Though now things are still at a "take one step at a time" stage, but I hope things will take for a better turn.

Now I would like thanks some of the wonderful people in my life who have made me smile and felt so touched; before, on and after my b-day.

Kelly & Linda - Thanks babes again for the lovely flowers, its still at my desk! Your kind intentions have really brighten up my day. Appreciate your help at work lots too!

Cammie - Thanks sweetie for the gifts all in my fav colour and the cute card. Am really glad that our working relationship has developed into a friendship and you have been a great dear to give me advise and being my listening ear.

Meilin - Thanks dearie MeiL for remembering my b-day each year and making the effort to meet up with me each year. For the countless gifts you have given me from your biz/holiday trips, b-day and X'mas each year and more importantly, the thought behind it.

Hubby - Thanks for giving me such a nice surprise and taking the day off to accompany me the whole day. Looking forward to our dinner buffet in Dec! =p

Bixin, Gracie & Bernice - You gals never fail to make me smile and laugh, haha. Bixin the 傻小妹,Gracie with her damn funny/amazing quotes and ideas and Bernice the kawaii chilli padi! Thanks for bringing so much laughter to me in and outside the office.

Many thanks to the gals & dudes who remember my b-day each year and never fail to sms me too. Having friends like this in my life makes life easier to get by when the going gets tough. =)

    2 more surprises...

Reached office late today cos I couldn't fall asleep last night and overslept in the morning. Guess it was due to the nap I took after dinner. Was tossing and turning in bed till at least 3am I think.

Though I woke up and was still feeling quite shag, I managed to put on a bit of eyeshadow and eyeliner to look more awake, haha. (To distract people from my dark circles also lah, hehe...)

When I reached my desk, I saw 2 gifts on my table and a card. What a nice way to start the day, hehe. The Body Shop gift was from Kate, the other gift and card was from Cammie. Was rather surprised to receive a gift from Kate actually cos she's been in our dept for a month only and I do admit I have been impatient with her at times. =x It was heartwarming also to receive a handwritten card from dear Cammie, nowadays few people still bothers, hehe. Thanks gals! =)

The other day I had ordered some "kuah" from one of the permit declarants and today we got it. I shared half with Bixin and packed my share into the plastic bag with the gifts cos the Body Shop bag was very big. Then... Blur/sotong me forgot to the bring the whole bag home... Faintz...

I only realised it when I reached home somemore... =( Smsed Bixin and told her to share the kuah with Bernice tomorrow before it goes bad since I will only be back on Thursday. As for the gifts, asked her to safekeep for me first. Haiz, really poor memory loh. We had finished work at 10pm so were rushing home and freaking tired. Arghz... I was telling Cammie earlier in the day that I'm gonna bring home the gifts to open, more excitement mah. In the end, I gotta wait till after my b-day, boo hoo...

So no pics to update for today le, shall upload it when I bring the gifts back.

On a happier note, Hubby says he's gonna bring me for lunch buffet at a hotel! Yippee~ Its been like ages since we ate at a hotel in the daytime. But it was damn drama loh, lol... This was what happend:

    1) Hubby asked if I could go out early tomorrow? Say he bring me to hi-tea buffet, I said ok and asked where? He said Grand Hyatt, the hotel that we always like to use the toilets, lol. Its him who likes loh, those who know him well should know why, haha.

I was so happy loh, then think think: "Sala leh, hi-tea at 11am? Better check the website." Turns out that the hi-tea is on Sat, Sun and PH only loh... Kaoz... So I called him and told him, he replied: Izzit? Faintz loh...

    2) Hubby called back, said its not Grand Hyatt, should be Hilton Hotel. So I went to check out the website again. No hi-tea buffet at all loh, only have breakfast, lunch and dinner! So told him, where got hi-tea buffet? You bluff me again.

    3) Hubby called back the 3rd time and said its Royal Plaza on Scotts. Wah piang, win liao loh, 3 different hotels all also in Orchard. Anyway, I went to check again and found out that lunch buffet is 12-2.30pm, hi-tea buffet is at 3.30pm. Then he said he made rservations le, gonna be lunch instead cos we'll be meeting Meilin for dinner, so if hi-tea gonna be too close to dinner time.

So settled finally! Tomorrow lunch buffet at Royal Plaza on Scotts, dinner at Tonkichi (Ngee Ann City), followed by movie at Cineleisure. Not sure if they gonna watch The Mummy or Journey to the Centre of the Earth, leave it to them to decide. I shall just sit back, relax and enjoy, hehe.

    Surprise Surprise!

I received a call today from Kelly around 5+pm and she asked me if I was leaving on the dot cos I had mentioned to Linda in the morning. I was replying to emails then so I said maybe not, but will not be too late. She said something like call me back later, so I thought maybe there's an activation of shipment from customer which I need to action on. Then a while later, I got a call from the receptionist saying I got a bouquet and to go down collect. I was shocked and wondering who sent it? The 1st person that came in mind was Hubby but I kindda find it weird cos I'm gonna be on leave on Wednesday and will be celebrating my birthday with him. So its strange that he would send flowers to me and that early.

Headed down to the recep and guess what? The flowers were from Linda and Kelly (my colleagues in sales dept)! OMG~ I was so surprised and touched and remembered Kelly's mysterious call, no wonder! Turns out that the delivery person had told them he'll be a little late so she called to check if I would be leaving soon. I called Kelly and thanks her for the nice bouquet of flowers, that I was so surprised, touched and love them to bits! Hehe... Then called up Linda but she didn't pick up, she returned my call but I had went to the ladies so called her back when I saw the missed call on my phone. Thanked her as well and told her this is the first time gals ever sent flowers to me, haha.

I was really so touched by their gesture cos they had sent it a day earlier instead of Tuesday cos they know I was feeling down. Some stuff had happen on Sunday which I would not talk abt it now. Thanks babes once again! *muacks & huggies* You made my day~

    The lovely bouquet of flowers!

The cute bear that came with it.

OMG~ I have been dreaming to eat at this place for so long!

Thanks gals, waiting for my dreams to come true. =)

    Happy National Day...

Happy National Day! Me and Hubby very patriotic, went to watch Red Cliff early in the morning, 11.15am show, lol. We been wanting to watch the movie, but have been busy with work and stuff and its ending soon, so that was the only slot at GV Tampines today.

The queue was like damn long loh, lucky we booked last night and collect at AXS station instead. We had a quick brunch at Pasta Mania before the movie started and Hubby said better buy water later cos its gonna be a long show (2.5hrs). I think we were really suay loh. Sitting in the same row as us, were an old couple who cannot stop talking throughout the movie in Hokkien, the uncle burped like at least 3 times, the auntie's mobile rang once and she had the cheek to pick-up and tell the caller she watching movie and not in a hush-hush tone loh. They were eating potato chips as well and not in a quiet way loh. Kaoz, I could hear every single bite and munch of the chips in their mouths loh.

In front of us, an auntie watched the movie alone and came in only like 5-10 mins after the movie started.

2 rows in front of us, were a family - parents and their 2 children. The gal was cute, but then she turned out to be a terror. She started pulling the seat down n letting it go almost throughout the movie, so the entire movie I could hear sound effects - eee, bom, eee, bom... Faintz... then e parents nvr do anything to stop her... Then best part was towards end of the movie, the gal gal say: "Daddy I want to wee wee." =_=

Anyway, the movie was rather interesting and funny at some parts. I had thought it will be a long, boring show all about fighting and wars. But now I look forward to the 2nd part of the naval war, hehe.

After the movie, we went to shop for Hubby's dad b-day present. Hubby said to buy a watch for his Daddy, so we went to Casio, City Chain etc but couldn't find anything ideal. The affordable ones were not nice and nice ones were very ex. Then I suggested to go Bencoolen Square cos there were a lot of shops over there, more choices and can compare also. So we grabbed a cab there and finally after going to about 4-5 shops, we settled on the below watch!

Original price was $258, but due to National Day promotion, there was a discount. Hehe, so its pretty worth the price we paid which I will not not disclose lah. Hope he likes it!

After getting the watch, we headed to OG. Hubby said to get me a new bolster cos the one at his place nua like. Yippie, new bolster for Brenbren! We zoomed in to the snacks portion first and ended up with a basket full of goodies, hehe. These are only part of it... =p

I bought a cute set of Bugs Bunny bedsheet which was a steal at $24.90! After some cuddling and hugging, I finally chose my ideal bolster with the right amount of "diong diong", only $19.90 loh! Hubby picked up the tab for all the stuff which amounted to $70+. Hehe, thanks Hubby! *muacks*

Took a cab back cos we had so many barang barang and Hubby kept snatching my bolster from me, sob sob. He say have Galgal smell, duhz. We watched TV and waited for the NDP but I think after it started, less than 15 mins I fell asleep liao. =x Very tired what, I slept barely 5hrs the night before. Woke up almost towards the end of the NDP and saw the fireworks!

OMG, I really, really love fireworks loh. It was so beautiful that I could felt my goose pimples coming up. It was so pretty and amazing! Too bad couldn't see it in real but still better than nothing. =)

    Its a madhouse

She's driving everyone bonkers and irritated again. The whole house never, ever has peace for a day. I have to blast my music on my pc to almost the max volume and its not enough to cover her voice. So imagine how loud she is? Moreover I'm in the room, she's in the living room/kitchen and my room door is shut. For goodness sake, its 1+am.

She has been ranting on for the past hour and I don't suppose she will stop anytime soon. Even if she will, she will continue repeating the whole damn thing again tomorrow for a couple of times.

I really hate this place, its just a house to me now. Somewhere I can go back to bathe and sleep. I hate spending my waking hours in this place even if its just minutes. I rush to get of this house everyday asap, its no longer a home since ages back.

Everyday, I hope, I yearn and wait for the day for Hubby to bring me away from this place. Its not gonna be easy, its gonna take some time and I don't know if I can take it till then.

Its disturbing me mentally and affecting my sleep and well-being. Honestly, other than bringing me up and giving me an education, I don't know what else she has done for me as a mother. She thinks the things she does and the so-called sacrifices are for our good. But its not, its all done for her own sake, for her convenience and everything has to be revolved around her.

I need my life, my freedom, peace... A place called HOME...
