1st trying of ROM dress - 29/Apr
I went to get my nails done on Monday (express french manicure and express pedicure) after work. Thought it will look nicer when I try the ROM dresses on Wednesday (I know - Excuses!! wanna pamper myself a bit).
So I chose a light purple with a glitter top coat (yes, yes.. I know... Purple again)... =p
French mani is pretty predictable, but I like that its simple enough to match with dresses and looks nice enough for work.
Anyway, back to the ROM dresses... I was kindda disappointed. They didn't show me a lot of dresses becos they said they carried mostly wedding gowns and evening gowns. What I read was: You're too fat to fit into our nice dresses. The dresses that were given to me to try were not very pretty and I cannot fit nicely into any dress.
They gave me 2 black dresses to try which I didn't really like.. The pink dress was awful, the blue dress was auntie, the short white dress made me look awful, couldn't fit into e red, the tube champagne gold dress was oldish...
In the end, only 2 looked ok. One was a short champagne gold halter-neck dress which was very simple and the other is a white long dress.
According to Hubby and the babes (Meilin and Charlene), the champagne gold dress looked nice on me. But maybe cos I felt its very simple and I never worn this kind of colour before, I find it quite weird.
I actually prefer the white dress, but it was kindda too long and a bit plain also.
Was a bit pissed about the I can try at Yishun branch also but if I like something there, I will have to be with Yishun branch from there onwards. WTH!! The Tampines branch is just next to my blk and I have to go Yishun?!?
I asked if they can transfer the dress and they said cannot becos the bosses are brothers etc. Faintz, they are brothers leh... Just don't make sense loh.
If I choose Tampines branch: Make-up and change of dress at shop and go directly to Gallery Hotel from there, don't even have to bring out the dress.
If I choose Yishun branch: Go from Tampines to Yishun for make-up and change of dress and go Gallery Hotel.
Kuku loh... Tampines I already have to be there by 10am liao to do make-up, hairstyling and dress up. Yishun?!?! I think I can go out by 7am and be drop dead tired by the time I reach the hotel.
Sigh, I need to and want to lose weight!!!
Anyway, we made a appt at Yishun branch on 9/May (Vesak Day) at 4pm to try my ROM dresses. If nothing there or if wanna save the trouble, I probably take the gold dress bah... =(
