I am very tired and feel my body aching. Not sure if its due to carrying my bag with the heavy lock for a few hours or if its PMS...
But... I am still happy to say we have collected our keys on 17/Apr, 3+pm at HDB Hub yesterday! We're the official owners of our new house now!
Before the HDB appt, I bumped into an ex-colleague, Maggie from Panasonic. And its such a coincidence that she's now working at an interior design company nearby. So we looked for her after our appt and asked for quotation for painting, the polishing of the parquet and main door. She later accompanied us to our house to see what else needs to be done cos we were not sure either.
Turns out that there are more works to be done which we didn't discover previously. Haiz, so many things, so little money. Lucky all are minor stuff which don't require hacking etc.
While chatting with Maggie, turns out that she knows Adrian & Dray and they were ex-colleagues. Faintz, really small world...
Anyway, we were quoted 1.2K for the painting and Hubby wants to DIY ourselves instead. Its gonna be a lot of hard work but it can probably save us a lot of kaching as well. See how it goes bah...
We're popping by our place again later to sprinkle salt and rice (mummy insist) and put our cleaning equipment there first. We can only sweep away the salt and rice tomorrow. So we'll probably head to Ikea and look for some ideas/concept for our new place.
