    Yummy Yummy!

Had change of plans ytd. Went to PS to buy movie tix but found out that only front rows were left. Took a cab down to Marina Square to buy instead. Decided to watch "The Myth" at 6.55pm as that session has couple seats at the last row, hehe.

Since time was still early, we had abt 3.5hrs before the movie started, so we decided to have lunch first. Went to this "Fin (by Blue Lobster) Seafood Cafe" which we had been wanting to try. Really really nice, good, affordable food!! And surprisingly, they did not charge GST and service charge! In shopping centre somemore wor, think really few places which really do that. Seats were cosy (cushioned sofa) and service was good, food was served fast and hot.

We ordered 1 oyster each ($1.90 each only), he ordered fish & chips while I tried the lamb shank. Ordered a ice coffee and ice peach tea too. There was even a free dessert cos he used UOB card. Something called caramel vanilla ponacatta (can't really recall). Total bill = $30 nett!

The oysters were very fresh and it did not leave a fishy aftertaste which some oysters do. Really smooth like it glides down your throat. The fish & chips ($7.95) had a nice crispy batter which was not too thick/oily and the meat was thick unlike some places which u seem to be eating the batter only. The lamb shank ($12.95) was tender and did not have lots of fat, the meat could be easily seperated from the bone, the gravy and mashed potato was a pleasant combination. The dessert was like a puddung covered with caramel and coconut at the bottom. It was not really to my liking though cos I don't really like sweet stuff, so the caramel was a tad too sweet to my liking and I don't like desserts with coconut.

Other than that, a perfect, filling meal which didn't cause a hole in the pocket. Yummy yummy!
